MOTORCYCLING
My
first motorcycle ride was at 4 years old on the back of my fathers 98cc bike as
he rode to school in Germany just after the war. Anything over 100cc was
taxed at that time, plus gas was scarce and expensive so people seldom had
larger bikes. In this day and age in the USA and some other developed
countries, a motorcycle or "bike" as we call it is mostly for sport.
Consequently you see a lot of larger and very fast bikes which bear little
relationship to the economical bikes used for transportation in many
European and Asian countries.
Most of the following photo's
were taken at Alice's in La Honda where almost every weekend
strange, exotic, old, fast, new, ordinary and even humorous bikes cool off
while the weather heats up.
